Anthia approached me to design he branding and website for her new side hustle, The Confessionals. With a personal passion for all things romance, travel and hearing other’s experience, she wanted to create a platform where one could indulge in hearing the love and travel stories from others around the world.

We designed her branding to encompass the excitement that comes with romance and travel, through a vibrant colour palette that wasn’t too ‘girly’, focusing on the red and blue for the main two colours. We had individual logos and colour combinations for each genre of story (which may expand as the platform expands), with the red and the star elements being common denominators throughout to keep consistency. We designed twelve individual stamp designs to represent each month, to be used as a submission stamp on Instagram story submissions, and these were designed to resemble the inky, aged travel stamps you get on your passport.

We wanted people to feel inspired when they landed on the website, ready to open their hearts to tell their own story, or dive into someone else’s. Functionality, confidentiality and privacy was of huge importance, with Anthia getting legal advice on what to include on the website, and with us designing story submission forms that kept people anonymous, giving them a unique code, incase they needed to reference their story later on for removal. This was all done to ensure the submittee felt safe and for the website to feel trustworthy. A fun, youthful, inspiring aesthetic, paired with a thoughtful, professional and safe structure, has created the perfect hub for Anthia’s vision.
